Biography

Le Duy Duc (Steve) is the Head of Business Development, Southeast Asia at Vela Software, a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. (CSI) — a global company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of USD 58 billion and annual revenue of USD 10 billion. Vela Software acquires, manages, and builds market-leading software businesses worldwide, serving customers in more than 100 countries.

Prior to joining Vela Software, Duc was the Enterprise Sales Director of V-Key, a deep-tech global leader in software-based cybersecurity solutions with a vision to secure the global digital experience for one billion mobile app installations.

He is also the Vice President of ISC2 Vietnam Chapter, where he oversees membership management and events, contributing to the development of Vietnam’s cybersecurity professional community.

Before that, Duc served as Head of Business Development at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) — the New Zealand Government’s international business development agency — for seven years. In this role, he supported New Zealand companies to expand globally across industries including aviation, agritech, information technology, FMCG, and timber, covering both market entry and growth stages.

His earlier career includes serving as Head of Branding at Talentnet, one of Vietnam’s leading human resources consulting firms; and Area Manager of Singapore Tourism Board for Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, where he developed and executed destination marketing strategies for business, education, and medical travel segments.

Duc began his career as a Management Trainee in the Strategic Office of Hong Leong Bank Malaysia, where he participated in the post-merger evaluation between Hong Leong and EON Bank with the Boston Consulting Group team. He later became Business Project Manager for Internet Banking Implementation at Hong Leong Bank Vietnam, and earlier worked at HSBC Vietnam, overseeing KYC processes and the launch of Internet Banking for Commercial Banking clients.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Foreign Trade University, and an MBA from University of the People.
